I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University. My research investigates intergroup relations and prosocial contact (or lack thereof) in shared social spaces.
My recent work developed the method of a ‘Fly-on-the-Wall Study,’ which I use to investigate how various social groups experience daily social life differently from one another during routine encounters. By capturing individual-level behaviors, I paint a picture of insidious discrimination that is experienced and felt at the group-level. One primary benefit of this method is the ability to capture human behavior in its most natural state, while also allowing scholars to test hypotheses through non-invasive and ethically sound ways.
I don’t do social media but I’m certainly social! Don’t hesitate to reach out and make contact!
